Official support for Windows XP is ending on April 14, 2014. This means that there will be no more security updates issued by Microsoft and no more phone support (big deal).
This could make all XP systems more vulnerable to hacking. So – what should you do? For sure, backup all of your data in case your PC is rendered inoperable by a security exploit. Also, you could finally give up the old warhorse and spring for a new PC. Lastly, just take your chances – not a terrible option if you are extremely careful when dealing with email and the Internet.
