Taking Panoramas

pic 1Some of our cameras can take panoramas and automatically stitch the shots together. Other cameras have a special setting whereby the camera guides you in how to overlap the shots while keeping the camera settings constant during the shooting. After transferring the shots to your PC you then have to stitch the shots yourself. Check your camera manual for details.

There is a list of freeware for stitching photos here. Hugin panorama software is also free and can be found here. Canon supplies their photo stitching software with most of their cameras but anyone can obtain the software by going here – just click Drivers and Software and under software look for PhotoStitch Updater for Windows.
